Self-Piercing Rivets (SPR) are specially engineered fasteners designed for use with most SPR rivet guns, originally developed for aluminum panel repairs. These rivets are also highly effective on steel, making them versatile for a wide range of automotive applications including collision repair and OEM-approved structural work.
SPR rivets are commonly used in repairs on vehicles such as the Ford F-150, F-Series Super Duty trucks, and various models from BMW, Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, and other domestic and import brands. Ideal for both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-steel bonding.

How It Works
SPR (Self-Piercing Riveting) is a mechanical fastening method that joins multiple layers of material—without the need for predrilled holes. The rivet is driven through the top layer(s) and forms a mechanical interlock in the bottom layer through cold forming. This process provides a strong, permanent bond similar to spot welding, but without the heat.
